Thanks for some great suggestions!!<br /><br />I do want to point out a factual error in the Summer Birds / Maria Merian book, though. The jacket and frontispiece indicate that the story takes place during the "Middle Ages" but Merian was not actually born until the middle of the 17th century -- in the late Renaissance timeframe! Interestingly, the story's recurring theme of fear of being accused of witchcraft is much more characteristic of this Renaissance timeframe than of the Medieval period, according to historian Regine Pernoud.ScienceMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09086909718651210352noreply@blogger.com
