Spiritual Bouquet for Archbishop José Gomez (extended deadline - May 13th)

A friend of mine who has a connection to Archbishop Gomez asked if I would help collect a spiritual bouquet for him as he prepares to take on his new role as co-adjutor archbishop of Los Angeles.
José Horacio Gomez was born in Monterrey, Mexico, December 26, 1951. He attended the National University of Mexico where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. In college he joined Opus Dei, an institution founded by Saint Josemaria Escrivá to help people turn their work and daily activities into occasions for growing closer to God, serving others and improving society. Opus Dei became a personal prelature in 1982. Archbishop Gomez studied theology in Rome and at the University of Navarre in Spain, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in theology and a doctorate in moral theology. He was ordained a priest of Opus Dei, August 15, 1978, in Torreciudad, Spain.

You can read more about him on the USCCB New Release page.

Please leave your contributions for the spiritual bouquet - such as Masses personally offered for him and for his intentions, rosaries, novenas or other prayers and offerings - in the comment box or e-mail them to me at: love2learnmom at gmail.com (with the words "Archbishop Gomez Spiritual Bouquet" in the subject). These will be collected and presented to him in a few weeks, so we need to have all of the submissions by May 13th. If you like you may include your name and hometown.

Please feel free to pass the information along to anyone who might be interested.

Thank you very much and God Bless!
